Sorry I didn't take pictures during the making of it but I didn't think it was going to work.

I took a yogurt container and cut it town until it was about 1 1/2" tall



I cut the hole for the head about 1 1/4" in diameter.



I took Sunny and put it on him just to test if the hole was big enough and that I could get it on and off.



It worked, he was able to move around and it didn't seem to heavy for him. I'm not sure if it's too big but if nothing else, it's good for an emergency!

You'll just want some padding for around his neck. I've seen the NASTIEST picture of a glider that had their e-collar digging into his neck. It was horrible.

Kazko has made them out of the lid of yogurt containers, too.

If you can just slip it over his head - chances are he will be able to get out of it if he was determined to do so. The purpose of the overlapping side that needs to be taped or otherwise connected is so the hole is the size of his neck but SMALLER than his head so he cannot get it off.

So true, Candy. If they can get out of it - they will. The one made out of yogurt lids has a hole in the middle and slit on one side for adjusting. This would work for those who need one in a hurry. Dont forget the moleskin so it doesnt cut their necks!
