I don't think you should be worried yet. They are probally all confused with the changes and such. I really don't know about him already biting other than I am sure you heard some of them are just nippers and that is how they are. I know you have been around for a while so you know about the food/perfume smell on hands. Maybe someone else will be able to come and shed some light on it. Congrats on your new girls.
okay do you think he bit me cuz he smelt the girls on me ? and your right im doing the whole swapping scents thing.. i put two of their socks in his pouch.. also.. hes nuetered.. but when he saw the girl he... thing came out... like he wanted to mate.. he doesnt have any bald spots or anything so.. im almost certain he's neutered
That could be why he bit you sounds like he is very excited to see the females :P lol. It is actually usually suggested that you wait out the whole 30 day quarantine to swap the pouches. It probally is just a lot for all of them all at once knowing there are other gliders in the house and such. So you are not 100% sure if he is neutered you could have a vet check to see. Does he have a pom?
no and he doesnt have bald spots either.. and the lady said he was neutered his breeder sooo... i don't think he is intact almost certain he is neutered
It sounds like he was neutered at a young age. You do need to have the cages away from each other and do not swap anything for the 30 quarantine period. Not only is this good infection control, but it helps all of the gliders have time to readjust.
If you snatched him up quickly and possibly scared him, this could be another reason for him biting. I have a pair of neutered males that I have had for almost a year now. Everynow and then if they don't want to be bothered they will let me know by biting me. Just take it slowly!
