A friend of mine was cutting down a tree in Indiana. He found a litter of about 5 little gliders. Is it possible for them to be in the wild around here like that?

I don't think so. Could they be flying squirrels? Can you post pictures maybe someone can ID them for you.

Gliders only have 1-3 babies and 3 is not the norm.

They can actually have 4 although rare. My money is on flying squirrels too.

Sounds like flying squirrels to me, also. I guess it IS possible for them to be sugar gliders, but highly improbable.
