 smell??

Posted by: Diana09

Hi I'm new to this. I have a question. I had 1 sugar glider for about 3 months before I decided to get her a friend. When it was just her by herself we had no problems with smell. Now that I bought her a friend and had him neutered( I heard it would help with the smell) their cage smells alot and its starting to bother my mom. Any tips or ideas to reduce odor?? I appreciate it in advance

Im scared that my gliders are fighting. Im only an 11 year old, so I need some help on how I know if they are actually fighting. They make a sound kinda like a locust, and will stare at each and they go so fast I cant see what they do then run away from each other! Does anyone know what is going on?

I found a female sugar glider for sale, I'm going to be a first-time owner and I will definitely buy her a friend, but to me she looks malnutritioned from the looks of her fur. What do you guys think?

Hello everyone,
I was wondering as a treat do you think using the Gerber organic fruit and veggies baby food would be okay to feed a sugar glider as a treat?
I also have just the fruit one, of course I give my babies real fruit and all their needs. I just wanted everyone opinion on the Gerber Organics. They come in a to go pouch to feed a baby on travel it can be served a few times before having to Toss it. I would oonly keep it for two or three days. Let me know why you think thanks :)

 looking for adoptables ^state ny

So after weeks of scouring the internet I cannot find any gliders in my area for adoption. I see some for rehoming but they are older or the current owner won't respond to my inquiry. I am going to be a first time owner but have care for a variety of pets. I used to work at an animal hospital and have contacts still there. If anyone has advice or can help me find some little ones I would be greatful. I am currently working on a cage for them so any tips on setup would be awesome! Thanks!

 Please help

Hello, I just got two new female sugar gliders. I honestly took them in as pets because I saw pictures and knew someone who had one before and thought they were the cutest things ever. But now since I have inherited two I'm not sure I know the right basics of care for them. I have been researching a lot but everything is so contradicting one page says one thing and the other the opposite. I just want to take the best care of them as possible and make sure they are ok. I don't want to hurt them in any way they are so tiny and fragile looking. Any tips or suggestions or dos or donts from fellow glider owners for a new glider mommy?

This morning while playing my adult male, Zazu, missed a few times gliding and hit the wall. I am an overly concerned owner and want to make sure that he's okay. He is acting normal. Should I be worried?

 tail hair loss

Hello. I have had my sugar glider Toby for about 5 months now. I got him as a joey, and he has come a long way. Of course he is not fully trusting of me and in time will bond better, but he allows me to hold him, play with him, & we have tent time occasionally. I spend 2 to 3 hours at LEAST every day holding and playing, and carry him around a lot. He seems very playful and happy overall and gets new toys every 3 or 4 days to keep him entertained. Yes he is a single glider, & i plan to get him neutered and get a friend for him in June or July.
Anyways, a few days ago i noticed that the very tip of his tail had a little turd in it. I got it a little damp and got it out. No problems. He often drags his tail in his pee/poo and sometimes it gets sticky from his fruits. Well now the tip of the tail has thinner hair. Still has the lil fuzz but i can see the black of his skin. It isn't red or irritated, so i don't think he is digging. Could it just be due to it being sticky and he licked it too much? I have been monitoring it the past few days and it doesn't seem to be any worse.
Please let me know your thoughts and please no bashing on me for having a single glider :) thanks!
