Today it's been exactly one year since Neo's death. I'd just like to show off some photos and tell his story.

We bought Neo in September 2006, around Christmas he started to self mutilate....and thus his spiral begun. He was put in the e-collar. After going through a few vets he was finally discovered why he had started to SM. He had an infenction in the glands that lubricate male's reproductives organs. Shortly after his infection cleared up he was neutered. Neo continued to SM after being neutered and even had to go to the vet for an emergency reglue.In April Neo came out of the e-collar and Finally Neo lived with Ren and Stimpy around May 20th and we moved to Ohio. We found a vet BEFORE we moved and prayed we would never visit, but we did. In July Neo's genitalia was hanging out and turned black. We rushed him to the vet where part of it was amputated. Unfortunately his infection was back and since his genitalia was out they couldn't get a probe into his rectum to reduce the swelling as the first vet did. They extracted Neo's urine through a syringe but we were told doing that enough was putting his life at risk and surgery was needed. This surgery was very invasive and involved cutting open his entire lower half. A little after he went into surgery we got the all that he didn't make it. He looked awful and right before his surgery I had went to visit him.

This wasn't all. Neo was a very sweet boy. He was a rarity among gliders, he was very cuddly and tame but that was probably due to the extensive care he needed. We would often wake up with him and the way he ran with his collar on he looked like a prancing dear. Neo was a very unique little guy. Now here are some photos.

Neo was very lucky to have you two for parents, to give him all the love and care he needed. You two were blessed with a wonderful and loving glider.

I can not believe it has been a year....I remember all the trama....we all said prayers for him..he was special and your sharing his life story back them made all of us feel love for him....he was very lucky to have two people that loved him and did everything possible for him

I know he is at rainbow bridge...playing with others..happy an healthy...I do believe animals have a place hereafter..haven would not be HEAVEN without animals.....

Rheasha, we all waited for the updates on this little guy and all cried when we heard he didn't make it. He fought a good battle and because of him you have had some great knowledge to pass onto others about lone gliders and SM. His life certainly didn't pass un-noticed by us here at Glider Gossip.

We miss you Neo!

Always thinking of you Rheasha! Neo was lucky to have someone like you and Tim that made sure his short life was full of love and the best of care.

What a sad story but a true little fighter. He was stong and sure was a cute little guy. Very beautiful tribute to your angel.

I remember when i first started coming on here last year and talking to rheasha. I just had rocket then and i always heard about neo. I dont think ive seen or heard of any other glider with Rheasha and neos relationship.

This made my eyes tear up and just feel really sad... He looks like he was such a wonderful sweet little boy. I'm sure he knew that you loved him, and that you did everything you could for him. *hugs*
