Well I looked around the forum, but I didn't seem to find a topic like this so now I will make one.

As you may know I'm going to get myself a couple of gliders when I get my own place, so I am very curious about how you keep your gliders.

So wouldn't you like to show me some pictures of your cages?
That would just make me soo happy

- Maria

I'll be ordering a new cage soon (I hope, I hope, I hope)

Until then I'm combining two smaller cages. One question about this is how should I clean the wooden perches from the old cage? We kept our parakeet in it until he died 2 or 3 years ago. Should I bleach these, rinse them, and then let them dry good? Should I boil them and let them dry? Or should I throw them out? The cage has been stored in the garage for awhile, covered with blankets. Everything else I'm using from it is plastic and can be bleached and rinsed well.

I personally throw mine in the dishwasher with the rest of their stuff..no soap but I use the "sanitize" cycle. It's SUPER dry here so it dries really fast. I don't know about where you are.

It's super cold here right now so the furnace is on and causing it to be dry in the house. Thanks for the info. :)

Plastic toys with no glue seem to be very popular. Barrel of Monkeys are awesome.

Raven you are such a show off. LOL That cage set is so pretty.

Here is my latest ones. The little one has my new little girl.

This one belongs to the other three. I am going to try to change this arrangement shortly but in the meantime they have to have matching cages.

I just finished combining two small cages to make a bigger cage until I can order a big one. I think I'll keep the pics of our wimpy cage to myself.

All of your set ups are just amazing. And some of those outside ones...well just AWESOME! I have one of those Octogon cages in the garage, and I think I might have to get rid of another piece of furniture to make room for more cages! Heck my parrots have climbing nets 6X8 feet across and down in their play area, my house is more owned by the pets than by me! Great cages everyone

The cage i have (and many others) is good but i hate how tiny the doors are, cleaning the back of the cage is hard too.

Ian-gliderlover: please do reasearch, these guys live for a long time and its hard work. vet bills cost a lot, they scratch your arms up, they usually arent cuddly and very noisy. im a teen and if i knew how much work they were, i never would have got them till after highschool.
