<br />Which "they" are you referring to? Are you asking if Zak takes his personal glider pairs to the vet? Well, he says his regular inspector is a Toledo Zoo vet. I'm sure if you called and asked him, he would tell you what his gliders' medical care is like. He only has 15 pairs plus the joeys they produce until they are ready for new homes.
<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
im talking about all the gliders he took in. If they were in poor health when he got them then he should have had them checked out by the vet,not saying he did, but it looks to me he didnt and so what his so called vet is the top on at the zoo, aparently he doesnt kno much about sugar gliders to say that is a great diet and so forth. in any case whether his or not he should have gotten them a bigger cage instead of leaving them in those small cages like that, that alone would cause problems. and i dont call i can talk better on here plus im sick and it hurts to talk.
You must really like this guy i mean you is defending him hardore, he a grown man he can defend himself, what he do ask you to defend him while he's not on here? Bribed you with money or something????

I have not seen anyone mention him telling them to put their suggies in a larger cage either, or mentioning that the ones he sells them in aren't adequate.. =/

If I were her I would not give him my information no telling what will be put on those papers he didnt do it at the time of sale that's his issue not hers! He has no right to ask her information after the fact! Further more he needs to have a "brokers license" to get gliders from someone else and resale them! Does anyone know if he has that? She was not told the full truth about these glider's and as a small hobby breeder I am SHOCKED that these glider's were even bred the photo's made me sick to my stomach! I don't know how anyone can say anything good about that man! The size of that cage is what I use for 1 glider for a hospital cage and HOW MANY GLIDERS WERE LIVING IN THERE 4???? OMG...SICK SICK SICK....And they were not cinni they were soaking in filth!

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">-noddles- Agreed. That's what our travel cage looks like. Either that or if we need to pull someone for whatever reason/keep 'em apart till we get to the vet. Same as you basically. No one should be living in a cage like that muchless one split into two cages! ):

exactly i used a cage that size for a total of probably 10 hours for introduction purpose only as you can see my videos that i tested kazkos method and i felt bad for even having to put them in there for that long. Not to mention in the pics i dont recall seeing any wheels? So what kind of exercise are they getting? I would think since they are breeders they should be in the best condition possible to produce the best joeys, I wwould never consider makeing a suggie who's missing limbs to breed no matter if they are in perfect health JMO

My travel cage is a big pop up pvc thingy (lol) from hill haven! Its wonderful! I didnt see a wheel either just pure filth! Those glider's should be vet checked asap living in that filth no telling what they could possibly be suffering from and the missing limbs / tails will need to be checked as well! That's just sad I can't imagine how they feel! some People just never stop and never learn!

EDITED B/C I WAS MAD AND SPELLING WAS ALL MESSED UP (LOL)

No she's not defending him. This isn't about whose side you're on. This is about dealing with things like adults and not starting a witch hunt without the proper evidence. However, the evidence against this man is piling up and I think she understands that. She's just trying to be reasonable before she sharpens her pitchfork

You dont truely know who is defending who NO ONE DOES! Those glider's in those photo's are evidence ENOUGH! Those gliders should have NEVER been sold as breeders or anything else for that matter without first being VET CHECKED to make sure they were healthy! She had to go and pay this man for those poor filthy babies and now SHE is going to be responsible for the lord know's how costly vet bill's that she wasn't made AWARE of until after she purchased them! And if one or all of those glider's dont survive guess what?? It's the innocent lady who got jipped that has to have a broken heart not him!

I agree with you. I think we all agree that this is a horrible situation and should be investigated. And until it is investigated, Im pretty sure we've run this topic into the ground.

I am a breeder in Michigan and this is the first I have heard of him. I have always thought that the best gliders in the best condition should be used for breeding. These gliders were rescues. They should NEVER be bred! They are in terrible condition, have no lineage and need to be cared for & nursed back to health without the stress of breeding. Just my opinion of course, but I do believe the truth.

It's not old news to me I am living this everyday with my gliders... I'd like to hear/ see these tours as well... I'd really like to drive the 3hours one day out of the blue to see if I could take a walk through when he's not expecting it but I don't think I'll be able to any time soon.

Thanks for those of you that care. It's good to see that people didn't just forget about this. Just not sure what we can accomplish... I guess what's done is done with my gliders but maybe we can prevent it from happening to someone else or even spreading the word is better then nothing being done

They have been vet checked and now seem healthy after I have started them on bml. My boy has a app to get fixed on Tues. After coming here and learning all I have, the guy did not seem all that great to me. everything I was told by him, not that it was much... but yea none was right... should I be worried tho??

NOOO I didn't read this whole thing before my last response now I know this is the guy I got my babies from. No he did not spend hours telling me how to care for them. I did not even get a care sheet In fact I was on my way home from a family trip dude met me on the side of the high way and handed me over them. Told me I should probably keep them in the small cage I got from him for at least 6 months or they would not bond with me, only run away. Idk how old they were however I have a pic a can post he looks really young 5 or 6 weeks his tail isn't even bushy yet

Ouch.. X_X That tail looks like it's due to it being really sick or malnourished, maybe even old age, I'm not sure in all honesty. That doesn't look like a joey though, just a sickly glider.

The cage story is BS.

The sooner you get them a big cage the sooner they will love you, you'll already have taken a step to improve their lifestyle!

Odds are it's safe to toss out any info this dude gave you. D: I'm really sorry for this.

Have you found a better diet for your suggies yet?

EDIT: Joeys don't just not have poofy tails, they have smooth flat fur on their tails before they poof. That one's looks somewhat thin/unclean, not really flat like a joey's. Could be due to diet problems.
