It's so nice to hear that things went well for you and Avis. Ive never had a spinal tap, but hear they can be very painful. Poor Avis - having to get stuck 3 times!

Well Avis doing alot better but her back still hurts at times. The new pain meds they have her on now is helping her alot. With them uping her chemo pills she been get tired easy again So she back to naps and resting again. She will be doing a CBC to see how her blood work is some time this week. I am thinking it went down so that is why she tired and not feeling good again. So I been keep a close eye on her. My brother went back over the road and he is buying the semi so he is going to put a kids cancer ribbon with her name and the date we found out about her cancer on the side of his truck. He told me the reason he went back over the road is to help me out with money. I call that one big brother and proud to call him my brother. But I like to thank all of you for being there for me and Avis. You guys are so wounder full for all you have done. The gifts she has gotten from you all has brighten her up so much. I can gladly say you guys are part of my family and I say that with pride too. I don't know how I would of gotten through all of this and the next 2 years left of her treatment if you wasn't for all of you. I can say you all are true friends even though I met you guys yet but I so glad I have friends like you guys. Well I better go and get some sleep. Thank you again my bear friends.

Well Avis gets her CBC done today to see what her blood count is and she is done with school tell next fell. Her back is feeling a little better but her knees are the same. Well I have to go but I thought I let you know about the CBC and I will let you know what her counts are and what the doctor says too. Tell then enjoy the nice weather

Well Avis had a CBC done on Friday and we got the results today. 2 weeks ago her WBC was 4.2 and now her WBC is 1.6 so she has to wear a mask when she go's in store again. So now we have to take day by day with her again and help her when she feels sick to her stomach. I thought I just up date you all on her but got to run. She gets her chemo here next month so I will let you know how that go's k.

Well every thing is going good. She had her IV chemo on Monday and CBC but no word on the CBC so it must be good. She been tired but feeling really good. We are taking Hannah in to the vet tomorrow at 11:30 to get her leg checked out again. She is still limping with it. I talk to the lady that Avis out with at the vet clinic and she said it was a torn musical and the only way to really fix it is with surgery so we will see what the vet says tomorrow about her leg and if surgery has to be done then we will do that because that puppy means the world to Avis. We will let you know what we find out about Hannah and I thought I let u all know how Avis was doing since I haven't up dated in a while.

Sorry I didn't write sooner. Avis and me took her puppy Hannah and they surgery won't help her. She has early stage of arthritis and there is nothing we do for that. Avis has to have anther CBC on Monday because her WBC went down more. So we have to do that at 1pm on Monday. When I find out what her counts are and what the Doctor says about it I will let you know. Well I have to go but will write on Monday when I hear from the Doctor.

Im so sorry the surgery wont fix Hannah. Did the vet give her some arthritis medication?

Happy Mothers Day! Hugs to Avis and here is to a good report on Monday. I am sorry about Hannah.

Well next Wednesday we will be heading back to Denver. Avis will be seeing the Bone Dr at the Children Hospital at 11:30 AM on Thursday and Friday is her IV chemo and spinal tap at 10:30 AM. So we will in Denver from the 2nd to the 4th and will be home on the afternoon of the 4th. We will be taking Avis's little brother Alix with us so she can have someone to play with while we are there. Hannah is doing good and spoiled as usual lol. I will be taking my laptop with me so I can up date you all Thursday after we see the bone Dr. I will talk to you all next week ok

I've been following all what you have had to deal w/!!! i am so sorry.
my youngest sister had some type of relative to leukemia since birth, & she is now maybe 45(?). the docs have all said thru the years that she shoulda been gone from us. i do hope that this will be true for you, also.

Evelyn - tell Avis she is in my thoughts and prayers. I think about all of you so much and always look for your posts. Please update us as soon as you can. <<hugs>>

Well we went to see the bone Dr. and Avis will have to have surgery on both knees next month. They are going in to look at them and fix what needs to be fixed. I am still getting it all set up so when I find out what day next month she will be having surgery I will let you all know. Tomorrow she will be have her chemo and spinal tap so we have to say here one more night. I will check back later on here. Avis is going go swimming in the pool here at the motel for a bit. when I get back to the room I will try to go in chat. Talk to you all then kk

I am sorry to hear about the surgery. I really hope they will be able to get them "fixed" so she won't have any more pain. Please give her a hug from me! I hope all goes well tomorrow.

Well we are home. Her spinal tap went good so she had no problems with that at all. We did find her surgery on her knees will be on the 30th of this month. We will head down to Denver on the 29 and come home on the 2nd. When i find out what time her surgery is I will let you all know. talk to you all then.

Well we leave in 2 weeks for her surgery. She is nervous about it. This week is starting not to be a good week for us. Avis's sister Kenna got bit by a dog. She had to get 5 stitches on her leg. That dog tried to go for her face too but never bit her there thank god. She gets her stitches out next Tuesday. when it rains it pores for us. Well I better head to bed but I will keep you up dated on Avis and now her sister Kenna too.

Well Rita I take it day by day with all of it and that is all I can do. But there is some days I just want to cry and wish this was just a bad dream. This nightmare will over for us soon then we can look back and say we did this together and we didn't give up and didn't let this cancer win.

You are allowed to have your moments. Taking it day by day is a good strategy. You definitely WILL come through all of this and you will be stronger and stronger as a family. HUGS to you all!

Well we are back in Denver for Avis's surgery. she is getting that done Wednesday at 3pm. I will let you all know how she is doing when we get her back to the room after her surgery.

Well we got back to the motel at 9:30 and she didn't go in to surgery tell 5:30. Everything went good. She is sleeping sound now and tomorrow we are going to take her to the Zoo so she can have some fun. I will take some pics while we are there too.

Well Avis is doing good but she had an oops last night. Her little brother took her down backwards to fast and she fell out of the wheelchair. I had to take her the Dr office today due to swelling and black n blue on the left knee. They did ex-rays on that knee so we know tomorrow what the ex-ray says. I will let you all know what I find out.
