I finally got the pvc cage 100% complete!! After all of the its working well and the kids just LOVE IT!!!
Here is a picture of it setup in my room:

Its huge, but its just awsome! I do encourage everyone to make one to save money...its really not all that hard, just time consuming if you do it by yourself like i did!

Let me know your comments and what you think about it!!!

It looks great. I want to make one but I really dont have time to right now. As soon as my time frees up some I plan on making one. I might con my dad to do it, he loves to take on new projects and always finds a way to improve on them so Im sure he would love to try this cage.

pics FINALLY! LOL
I bet your babies are just having a blast. I can see your other cage in the background, and they must be thinking "now we don't have to stay in the guest house anymore!"...

Congrats on your finished project.

Love it. You did a great job. Was there instructions or something you had to follow or did you come up with the design yourself? Well done. Again great job!

Awsome job Gray Fox!

http://justforfuzzies.com/Other_Stuff/Cage/index.html
here's the link on how to build them, thank you so much tortiebaby.

I built mine 3 months ago and it is fantastic. I am by no means a handyman and built it without a problem. Took me a weekend to make, costs a little under $100. Its small enough to fit through doorways so you can drag it outside and hose it off without much of a hassle. I also added a couple half shelves to it. I don't bother to use the tray I just put fleece on the bottom and wash it every few days.

I'm thinking of making a second one for when i get the twins and just hook them together once Dante warms up to them. Only thing I'm going to change is to make a full side a door just to make my life easier when I clean the cage. I find myself crawling inside when I go to redecorate the place anyways.

Very, very nice. I'm terrible at constructing anything, but I think I might just give something like this a try. ^^'

yea its actually quite easy!! Im pretty handy personally but it really wasnt that hard, just doing it by yourself might take 3 days. I spent less than 80 dollars total for just the basic design, that is, with no stainless steel bolts and nuts and whatnot. If you want to do a heavy duty version instead of just using the twisty ties, then its gunna cost more. Let me break it down:

Using just twisty ties to hold the cage together would cost approx: 65-80 dollars depending on where you shop and if there are sales... i got some of my things on sales...most of my zip ties were on sale for 99 cents :-D

Using the Stainless Steel Nuts, bolts, and washers, its going to cost a little over 135 dollars. I used all of nuts and bolts and washers, so its pretty accurate as to how many you need if you use the design i followed. If you do the way with the nuts and bolts, then buy a few extra washers to enable you to tighten down a bit more....

The kids love it a lot! I put two 4month old female gliders in there yesterday, and they were seriously climbing to the top, jumping and gliding to the bottom, and kept on doing that for like 20 minutes lol!

Go to that site... Its almost self explanitory.... Just follow the first part of the directions that show you what sized pieces you need, and then its pretty simply from there. The hardest part is cutting the pvc...which i TOTALLY reccommend buying a pvc cutter! Youll save your hands......a lot of pain lol.

Wicked awesome cage! Eventually when I go off to grad school I hope to make one! Right now mine is a good size and is collapsable, so it makes it easy for moving!

OMG! You are life saver! LOL I was just telliing my bf today i wanted to make the boys a big cage. I have two boys and their cage is the min. size. It was given to us, with the boys and I cant afford the cage i'd like to buy. SAO i thought we could make one, but couldnt explain how to do it to my bf. These pictures show EXCATLY what I wanted him to see. LOL! Thanks a bunch. It looks great. ONly concern is safety. How safe are they. Is it sturdy enough? Are there any gaps or any way for them to get out??

I love it! I was wondering the same thing as skittlesandpeanut though. The spaces between the pvc wall and the pvc doors: are the small enough to keep even joeys in?

This is far too small for a sugar glider to be kept in at night. It's just for daytime, right?
