Hey all, in search of a friend for my 2 yr old Lola. I spend every morning and evening with her, but realize she will be even happier with a friend. What ever makes her happier will make me too, so I would really like to find her the RIGHT friend. Im hoping to do my part on finding a home for a glider in need, rather than just buy one.Im looking for a female or neutered male at least a year old that needs a good home. Does anyone know of any good rescue sites?

I know Lucky Glider is in Nevada, but I do not know any in Kentucky. But I want to applaud you for doing the right thing and getting her a friend and also for wanting to rescue over buy. It is perfectly okay to buy if you just can not find a rescue, and you shouldn't feel horrible over that, but hopefully someone else will come on her who knows of a rescue close by! And trust me, she will be happier and so will you. I had a single glider for six months thinking that I was all she needed and worried that if she had another friend she wouldn't love me anymore! Far from it! She love ms the same and is far happier! And I don't have to fret if I can't let her out as much or if I am tied up one day and can't let her out at all, because she has a friend to play with!

Try Val/Something-to-believe-in. She will railroad gliders if she will let you adopt one of her rescue's.

Can I just say a big THANK YOU! You're not being selfish...and apparently that's a hard thing to come by as of lately. Thank you for doing what is best for Lola and I wish you the best of luck on finding her perfect friend! Let us know when you find one and we can help you out with introduction techniques as well!

PS If there are no rescues near you, check into sites like craigslist and kijiji.com..That's where I have gotten all of my gliders.

I'm glad you are getting a friend for her! And like Tisha said, try kijiji, craigslist and hoobly.... I got Aussie from there and I'm SO glad I did!
