They had a baby boy. I got the 4th one from the same person that later wanted to try her hand at it again. More problems came up and I took that one in also. The last 3 I almost bought. I saw them in the classified section and talked to the lady and she was having personal difficulties. She went back and forth about wanting to sell them because she loved them so much. In the meantime the 4th glider didn't want to have anything to do with the other 3 so i have 4 gliders in 2 cages (I bought a bigger cage for the lone brat). The lady finally decided that she had to let her 3 go. I told her if I could get the lone one in with the other ones I would buy them from her. Well she came over and brought her gliders and loved how I had the room set up for my gliders and her gliders seemed to like me because they were all over me. I told her I would take them but I wouldn't buy them. They are still in 3 cages but a funny thing happened. 2 of her gliders decided they liked my first 3 and they moved in with them so now I have 1 each in 2 cages and 5 in the other one. They have free roam of the room but they all end up in their own cages in the morning.
Hi Belinda. Do you live in Jacksonville? I've been looking for sugar glider pet owners in this area to have play dates & just exchange sugar glider knowledge with. I have two sugababes, Mr. Choco & Ms. Latte. They have each other, but I would like for them to make some new friends. If you do live in this area, I would love to meet you and your sugar gliders. Also, if you live in Jacksonville, which vet do you use? I have a vet hospital that handles exotic animals, but when I took my babes in, the vet didn't seem very knowledgeable at all about sugar gliders. -Kelly ChocoLatte Starting Member 5 Posts BTW. I got Mr. Choco in Lakeland from a breeder. Fell in love. When I went to St. Augustine for a larger cage, I ran into another breeder who was selling Ms. Latte. breeds them. While waiting for the new joeys my friend had found a "breeder" in Cape Coral, 45 minutes away. I met with this "breeder" to pick up my new little girl. He rolled up in a beat-up silver van, and his clothes looked like they'd gotten into a fight with his washing machine. He then handed me a list of of foods to feed her and instructions on how to take care of her (I soon learned he obviously knew nothing about suggies), and then proceeded to tell me how I got lucky because she's the only one he had. Where he got her I've no idea, and who her parents are will be forever a mystery. And THEN he pulled my little girl out of a plastic box that you would keep a small frog in. I took her right then and there and named her Belldandy. My second suggie, Penelo, I got from the exotic pet store. I got her to keep Bell company because I was working a lot at the time. There were two suggies at the store just OOP and they were taking down payments. One joey was quiet and sooo gentle, the other loud and obnoxious and vicious. I put a down payment on the gentle one. Well, when they were finally ready to go, someone else that had put a down payment on a joey had come in an hour before me and taken the suggie I'd wanted. Which means I was stuck with the not-so-nice one. And she wasn't very nice for a good long while. Now she's sweet as pie and just wants to be loved, and with the same snippy attitude as her sugar momma. :) My first 2 came from craigslist in Chicago il, the 3rd is their joey and my 4 also is a craigslist rehome. From Chicago.
