So, after a very long drive back and forth from Mobile, Alabama to Cape Coral Florida on Saturday/Sunday(the 10th/11th), everything seems to be going totally fine on this Friday. Every one is eating totally fine, playing normally, and starting to become a tad bit curious of me and their surroundings. Over the past few nights, I've been giving them licky treats to become accustomed to me.The colony of five have become accustomed to the diet I have been giving them over the past week. Everything has been going totally fine so far and I hope this continues over time. Now it's time for some bonding, I will keep everyone updated as best as possible. =)

Posted by: P-NutI know im going to write in the journal almost every other day. I like it. I think the girls are bonding with me a little more. I carried them BOTH in the pouch today. they kept lookin at me an hardly ever crabbed.They let me pet there heads even though they tried hiding under eacher while doing so. Sometimes they crabbed when my finger went near their face but it was a calmer crab. Like..im tired leave me alone. I shhhed her an she fell back asleep. i took them out just now in the bathroom. Snickerz is more comfortable with me than Kit-Kat. Snickerz was playing in the tub. Jumping on an off me. let me put my hand near her let me pet her while she was walkin in the tub an while she was on me. Kit-Kat was in a corner all scared. She crabbed everytime i put my hand near her. but sometimes shes come near it an lick me. then walk away back into her corner. Kit-Kat was trying to jump in the tub with Snickerz so i put my hand up half way on the moutside of the tub to help her. she eventually pulled her self on my hand then jumped on the rim of the tub. Hope she knew i was trying to help her lol.
Everytime i let sly out in my room to run around he goes somewhere an falls alseep. I have to keep waking him up for him to FINALLY get up to get some exercise. I dont know if this is normal.I hope it is. I never catch him in a deep sleep. He hears everything hell peek out if he hears u near his cage. So maybe he has a hard time sleeping bc thats when we are up. hmm i wonder. The girls stayed up late today. around 8 or 9 i came out of my room an they were still eating there food from last night.. eeh hope thats not bad.. when they went in their pouch i took all their food bowls out an there were sugar ants all in their food. yuck man!This pissed me off. Im sick of these apartments...i know ppl get sugar ants but this whole apartment complex is infested with sugar ants. if i k eep moving their cages i find that theres not many sugar ants. but if i leave them in the same spot there they are. My babies still shake. i wonder if that means they are cold or scared? i can guess its cuz my girls are scared but soemtimes sly shakes when i hold him an hes not scared of me anymore. hmm. maybe i should put a little blanket in their pouches? I mixed the veggies an fruit together last night an most of it was gone. found some veggie pieces at the bottom but...looks like they ate most of it. i hope. I just hope the there happy..
Last night Sly i think...marked me..lol...he grinded up on the bottom of the leg part of my pj's. An left an odor. i though he was humping my leg! lol. i lifted up the part he sprayed an then e made that cute tisk tisk tisk noise like if u were calling a kitty cat. He keeps marking the floor too cuz hes making the same grinding motion. i thought that ment he was trying to mate! Because when he saw the snickerz while she was in her cage a while ago he was grinding on her cage. maybe he was spraying the cage? like THATS MINE! lol.

Posted by: P-NutYay i clipped SLys's nails today. I had to wait until he was asleep. Everytime i clipped one he would pop his head up an look at me like ( what was that noise) lol.. then hed go back to sleep. then after awhile he had his eyes half way open and watched me an made those little noises when they eat something good lol. He doesnt cling onto things anymore.

I bonded a little with the girls today. I bonded with one at a time today. First with Snickerz. She was surprisingly calm. i put yogurt on my finger an she walked right up to it right outa her pouch an licked it. She crabbed a little bit but shes waaaay more calm than Kit-Kat.
I was actually scared to do that with Kit-Kat today bc she stuck every second she could but i did it anyway. Still didnt get bit =). But im waiting for it lol. After 2 hours with snickerz i bonded with kit-Kit. She imediatly crabbed an struck at me. Its hard to calm her down when your holdign her in her pouch. I let her lick the spoon with yogurt first. THEN my finger. Because i knew she would have bit me. I know i should be scared but thats just how i am. If i get bit i get bit. But if i know im gonna get bit i try to do things another way an sloweley get closer to them. My husband always holds them an they always bite. Hes not any closer tthem that i am. In fact id say i was closer lol. But who knows.

I had fun blending their fruit together. I wanted some myself when it was done MmmMmmMm. i put a little peice of bannan in it ( i read too much bannan can cause tummy aches) apples,mangos,kiwi,grapes,a little frozen juice with 100%pure exotic fruit juices. just to make it more liquidy. I put a tad of yogurt in it too. It tasted soo good. lol. IT WAS A SMOOTHIE! then i put them in ice cube things an froze them.Cant wait to see them eat it tonight.. =( their still not eating their veggies. sly ate some. i saw teethe marks in it so i still gave him his other foods. but someone told me i should just give them veggies if theeir not eating it. so i did that with the girls last night. the way i hung the dish on the door, the door opended a they escaped so they never ate last night. Im hoping they will eat the veggetables tonight. i dont think they will. not sure what to do if they just wont eat the veggies. should i just.. take one ice cube of veggie an one ice cube of fruit an mix that when it melts? i didnt want to because they wouldnt taste the sweetness of the fruits. only the veggies. i want them to have different taste offers. not one whole blend ya know?? or maybe i should mix the hpw with the veggies? hmm.. well seeee

Posted by: Roxy and Stormys mammaSo today i cleaned my gliders cage. That was interesting...had to take all the toys out and put em all back in there. Well i rearranged all their toys and pouches. So when they got put back in there they freaked out. Not a bad freaked, but a curious freaked. They started crawling, jumping, and sniffing. They crawled in eacch and everything they could. Then they would go into a pouch. Then come back out and do the same thing=) It was the cutest thing i have ever seen. When they finally got done being goofy they got in their pouch and made that chirping sound...the happy sound they call it. It made my day, it really did!! I Love Them LiL Babies "]

Posted by: P-NutWell. Sly is loving me more and more. No problems with him. The 2 sisters...Still hate us. Snickerz is a little bit more use to us than Kit kat is because we got kit kat about a week later. SO kit kat is very protective of the cage. Seems like she wont let me open the cage an even put something in it. Shes only realy mean when shes in her cage or in her pouch. Like IN something. its weird. But when i take her out. (still terrified she is) ill put my hand near her. If i put my hand too close shell fist up an look like shes gonna strike. But when i put my hand a lil close to her an leave it there she'll come near me an lick me then nibble.Snickerz is the same way. But Snickerz seems to strike more out of the cage (but sometimes shell let us pet her) an kit kat will strike more in her cage. Confussing lol.Hope things will get better with them. I will never give up on them so it'll either get better or ill just live with scared gliders the rest of my life lol. ill never give up. =) I wouldnt want someone to give up on me =). Just cant wait for the day that theyll let me hold them like Sly does. I hope its normal for a scared glider to just...sit in one position all day if shes scared. the girls were laying down on the floor on each other takin a nap im assuming, and i walked by an they both jumped on the sides of the cage an stood in the same place for hours!!!! I tried video cameraing them one night. i put a dim light on but i guess the light still bothered them because snickerz did not move...until the 5th video. i had 7 videos that lasted alll night! she ate twice then went back in her pouch. Weird! WIsh i can spy on them with night vision. lol.I wont do that ever again. though it was a dim light im sure it bothered them because neither of them went on there wheel! they always go on their wheel so. yea light not good. even though the light shouldnt have bothered them cuz it was soo dim..They prob thought we were still awake.

It was kinda cute the other day, one of the girls barked when i went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. THink she was warning her sister that there was a trespasser. =) She did it again later on that night i think they heared Sly on his wheel.

Kit Kat looks like shes gettin bigger. not sure if she was like this when i got her. But shes bigger than snickerz. I hope shes not eating most of the food! dont want her t have more than her serving of the hwp diet! THATS NOT good. Not sure what to do if thats the case. i always see both of them wat but i dont know who eats what. Guess thatll be my next question on here lol

Posted by: skittlesandpeanutWell I got my little boys in july, and i hardly knew anything about them when I got them. They were both free, as was their cage and toys. I am still learning about them, and caring for them...but I have to say...I LOVE IT! How could I have gone 24 years without every seeing or hearing of suggies ever before?!?! I mean when I recieved them in july that was the first time I had ever seen one in person! Everyday I feel like we bond just alittle bit more, and each day they do something even cutier than the day before. I just love them soo soo much.. They are by far the coolest little pets ever. Much better than a crappy ol' hamster. (sorry to hamster owners, but i hate those little rodents..lol...beem bit to many times...)Anyway I took a video clip tonite of my fuzzbutts hanging upside and they were eating a treat, while the other one was explorin my face and my glasses for the first time ever...normally i have on contacts. He actually tried to eat my glasses,, it was the cuttest thing ever!!!!

Posted by: fadedrainbowsTomorrow I am going to pick up my new suggies. It's a whole family: mom, dad, and two babies. I'm getting them from a lady who's husband gave them to her for her birthday and she just doesn't have the time for them. Or the knowledge! She says they've never had an exercise wheel! I'm very nervous though.. trying to wade through all the information on the internet is some hard work. There's so many conflicting stories. Trying to figure out what's best to feed them. What toys are best. While I found a vet who will see sugar gliders (two blocks from where I live =]) none of the pet stores sells anything glider related. I'm still so very excited though!

I am SSSSOOOO excited and happy! I have had my two gliders for around 6 months now. I love them to pieces. They are sweet hearts! Well my females started to get a bit fat on one side, so I figured that she was prego. But then about two weeks ago, she didn't look so big anymore, so I figured that one of those sad things may have happened? Then what do you know this weekend I was feeding them, when I noticed a little butt, a little pair of feet, and a long black tale! The baby still has it's head in her pouch, but it is half out! I got so excited I started jumping up and down like a child! :) LOL I look so forward to seeing it's little face. I have started to call Lelo, my female, mommy. LOL Oh what a joy this is!

Posted by: P-NutWell about 2 days ago I bought Snickerz sister so she wouldnt be depressed anymore. I named her Kit-Kat. WHen you call her it sounds like your saying ( here kitty cat realy fast) haha. She acts just like her sister. I was afraid to put them in the cage together right off the bat. So i both there pouches and put them next to each other. Nothing was happening so we eventually put them in the cage. Snickerz kept snapping at her sister. I was thinking she didnt recognize her or get her scent yet. But Kit-Kat i tihnk remembered her because she kept trying to go near her. One time i walked by the cage and kit kat walk right under her sister like ( protect me)! after that they seemed to be fine. They both ran into the pouch together. They seem to like each other alot. They both are still scared of me. But i let them out at night an sometimes they go near us out of curiosity but most of the time they just stand in one spot lol. Its cute to catch the two playing with each other. Somtimes they will have little arguments in their pouch. Snickez kind of kicked kit kat out of the big pouch. so kit kat went into the other pouch then snickerz got out of her pouch an went into the other pouch where kit kat was lol. there adorable. I cant wait for them to bond with me like Sly does. All 3 still dont 100% trus me yet. Sly even yells at me sometimes. Mainly when i open his pouch or try to transfer him into his bonding pouch but after he does hes fine.he even let me mom touch him an he saw her for the first time yesterday! this i was happy about. The girls seem nice when they are out of their pouch but scared. But when they are in thei pouches they seem so angry like LEAVE ME ALONE! lol. hopefully well all bond. i know its only been.. not EVEN 2 weeks. so i think im on a good track.

Posted by: Roxy and Stormys mammaTo buy a new cage set for my gliders!! they would love that. i was looking at some rlly cute ones on ebay that i can buy. and they are pretty cheap too. i would make the fleece ones....but i have no idea how and it would probably be cheaper to buy them then to make them cuz im pretty sure that cloth is kinda expensive. when i get a job im gonna start buying my babies all kinds of stuff AFTER i fix everything on my car. i was also wondering, you can feed gliders boiled chicken, but can you give them grilled? I've never tried chicken at all but i know its good for protein. they don't like boiled eggs. i tried to give them some and they didnt even touch them. it seems like they mostly like to eat their fruits and veggies. i keep dry food in their cage but they rarley ever touch it. what exactly do yall feed your babies? do yall feed them dry food. i actually bought them sugar glider food but they dont really like it. im pretty positive they didnt even touch it. now i just have to figure out what to give them for protein since they dont eat eggs, and i want to know if i can feed them grilled? well leave me comments pleas. thanks
